Functional Analyst (Part-Time)
As a Functional Analyst at Tonic3, you will be responsible for bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions in a fast-paced, agile environment. You will play a key role in eliciting, analyzing, and documenting requirements, ensuring clarity, traceability, and alignment with stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and gather requirements, understanding business rules, processes, and objectives.
Analyze complex problems and decompose them into clear, manageable functional requirements.
Create and maintain detailed functional documentation, including user stories, use cases, process flows, requirements specifications, acceptance criteria.
Interact closely with cross-functional teams (developers, QA, UI/UX) to ensure correct understanding and implementation of requirements.
Manage changes to requirements, ensuring that scope adjustments are handled properly and impact is assessed and communicated.
Provide functional support throughout the project lifecycle, including clarifications, issue resolution, and validations.
Participate actively in agile ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Review, Retrospectives).
Required Skills & Knowledge:
Solid experience with agile methodologies, especially Scrum and Jira, and familiarity with agile tools such as Trello, Confluence.
Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to break down complex issues into precise, actionable requirements.
Strong documentation skills: ability to produce clear, thorough functional specs and user stories.
Effective communication abilities—both verbal and written—to interact with diverse teams and stakeholders.
Change management experience—capable of assessing, negotiating, and managing requirement changes.
Strong detail orientation, ensuring functional correctness and completeness.
Desirable / Bonus Qualifications:
Experience working in technology product companies or software development environments.
Basic technical understanding (databases, APIs, software architecture), to communicate effectively with technical teams.
Familiarity with test case design / review, or support in QA / UAT phases.
Adaptability, proactiveness, ability to work under uncertainty and shifting priorities.
